Getting started
Install the bot
Add webticketer to your Discord server and get it ready for its first ticket.
Before you start
You need to be the server's owner or hold Discord's Manage Server permission, both to add the bot and to set it up afterwards.
Add the bot to your server
Start the invite
Press Add to Discord. If you are not signed in to the panel yet, you are asked to sign in with Discord first.
Choose your server
Discord asks which server to add webticketer to. Pick it from the list.
Approve the permissions
Leave the permissions ticked. The bot needs them to create ticket channels, post in them, reply through a webhook and remove a channel when its ticket is closed.
Choose who your staff are
Open the panel
Sign in to the panel with Discord and pick your server.
Go to Settings, then Server settings
Settings is at the bottom of the sidebar. Server settings is its second tab, shown to admins.
Tick your staff roles
Under Who can use the panel, tick the Discord roles whose holders should work tickets, and any roles that should also be admins, then save. A role you created a moment ago appears after pressing Refresh roles.
Post a ticket panel
A ticket panel is the message members open tickets from: a title, some text, and one button for each type of ticket you offer.
Create a panel
Still in Server settings, find Ticket panels and start a new one. Give it a name (for your staff), a title and a description (for members), and choose the channel it should be posted in.
Add ticket types
Each ticket type becomes a button on the message, for example Billing, Report a player or General help. A panel can have up to ten.
Save it, then post it to Discord
Saving does not touch Discord. Posting is a separate button, and the same button updates the message later when you rename or remove a type.
That is everything. Press one of the buttons yourself to open a test ticket, then find it in the panel under Triage.
